UMassFive Hosting Halloween Costume Drive to Benefit Amherst Survival Center

October 2, 2019 - News

Hadley, MA- UMassFive College Federal Credit Union is hosting a Halloween costume drive in its Hadley and Northampton branches during the month of October. Items collected will be donated to the Amherst Survival Center, where they will be made available for free to our neighbors in need.

"Halloween costumes often do not make the list of essentials in the budget," said Susan Cox, Community Store Coordinator at the Amherst Survival Center. "By collecting new and gently used costumes, UMassFive members are helping to make sure that we have costumes available in our free community store and that all children in our community can participate in Halloween.

UMassFive welcomes new and gently used children’s Halloween costumes, masks, and accessories. Donations will be collected until October 26, 2019, and can be dropped off during business hours to UMassFive’s Hadley branch at 200 Westgate Center Drive, or UMassFive’s Northampton Branch at 225 King Street.

Additionally, community members who are attending the Amherst Chamber of Commerce’s After 5 event on October 9th can bring in donations to receive raffle tickets for the evening’s raffle prizes, which include a $50 gift card, a 4 pack of UMass Women’s basketball tickets and a 4 pack of UMass Men’s basketball tickets. This event is sponsored by the UMassFive Commercial Services Division, and is taking place at the UMassFive Hadley Branch.
