UMassFive is excited to welcome the faculty, staff, and registered students of Greenfield Community College into our field of membership! Greenfield Community College (G.C.C.) was a logical addition to our community because of the many shared connections. UMassFive has partnered with G.C.C. for the past three years on a major financial literacy program called “Reality Fair,” which provides an interactive budgeting experience to high school seniors. Donations To AscUMassFive Community Involvement in 2016

Members and employees of UMassFive participated in an array of campaigns to better our community in 2016. Beginning with a Cold-Weather Clothing & Blanket Drive in January, participants donated 22 blankets and 298 winter clothing items, which were split between the Amherst and Northampton Survival Centers, as well as the Friends of the Homeless in Springfield.  Read More

Bingo PosterFinancial Literacy at UMass: Smart About Money (SAM)

UMassFive has partnered with the UMass Amherst Bursar’s Office, other administrators, and a group of students at UMass Amherst on a new financial literacy initiative called Smart About Money, or SAM for short. A project that UMass Amherst Bursar Erin Zuzula has been dreaming of for some time, SAM’s group will provide a peer-to-peer model for college students to learn about finances in a way that they are most comfortable.  Read More
