Solar Access

UMassFive is thrilled to offer an exclusive loan for income-qualified families in the state of Massachusetts that combines the Mass Solar Loan program and the Mass Save® HEAT Loan program to provide one all-encompassing solution for your utility bills.

Imagine a winter without worrying about your utility bills being through the roof because solar panels are providing all of the energy required to heat your home and hot water through an air-source heat pump system. This could be your reality if you qualify for a Solar Access Loan, which funds the installation of both of these systems at no additional cost to you.

UMassFive has been awarded an exclusive, time-limited state-sponsored pilot program to fulfill funding for low- to middle-income homeowners in Massachusetts, and is actively looking for qualified households. In order to participate in this pilot program, which will be limited to 100 families, a family of four must fall within the income range of $69,289.01 to $91,052.00 annually.

“We know that the costs associated with heating and powering your home can be more difficult to manage the less income you have,” said Richard Kump, President and CEO of UMassFive College Credit Union. “That’s why UMassFive is thrilled to partner with Solar Access, providing the bridge for low- and middle-income homeowners. Over the last three years, UMassFive has funded nearly 800 traditional solar installations for over $25 million dollars to low- and moderate-income households, and Solar Access helps us continue that mission.”
